Anyone can play on the Vail Nationals.

The Kick It “Kick Start” Advantage

(There are different opportunities for teams based in Colorado and teams based outside of Colorado-details below)

Colorado Based Teams

Colorado based teams that play in a Kick It 3v3 Soccer tournament can earn up to 3 points before the Vail tournament to apply to the day 1 round, giving them an advantage for qualifying for the championship round on Sunday.

• For a first place finish in a Kick It 3v3 tournament in the summer of 2025, a team will earn 2 points towards the National event.
• For a second place finish the team will earn 1 point towards the National event.
• The maximum number of points available will be 3 points per team.

Example 1: Your team wins a championship and second place-your team earns 3 points towards the first day in Vail.

Example 2: Your team wins two first place finishes before Vail, in a top division in an event, you max out at 3 points, rather than 4 points for both first place finishes.

These apply to the “elite” division in an event only, however, in the case of a team playing up a division or age they may also qualify for points. This will be determined and communicated by the tournament director before each tournament based on teams registered.

Important Note: At the director’s discretion, You may lose up to 3 points for a parent. player or coach receiving red card in a Kick It 3v3 event.

Soccer Teams Based Outside of Colorado

Due to the fact that we fewer events outside of Colorado, teams will have a different point structure:

• 1st place in a Kick It 3v3 tournament earns 3 points towards Vail.
• 2nd place in a Kick It 3v3 tournament earns 2 points towards Vail.
• 3rd place in a Kick It 3v3 tournament earns 1 point towards Vail.

This applies if they travel to Colorado for a tournament before the Vail event.

The maximum points they can earn is 3 points.

Important Note: At the director’s discretion, You may lose up to 3 points for a parent. player or coach receiving red card in a Kick It 3v3 event.

Teams that do not play in a Kick It tournament before a championship cannot earn points towards a championship event, but they are welcome to play in the tournament.
